Yes to Running =)


Try have a look. 80% Malaysians are not designed to run; by President of Malaysian Physiolotherapy Association.. No wonder I run slow. No wonder I get injury fast. No wonder I cant run long. No wonder every thing else comes into picture.

However, I do think we adapt & evolve. Knowing the extra facts does n0t make us run away from it. I think its a useful piece of information, a subtle reminder that we are built differently, yet we strive to do stuff seemed not possible for our structure. Knowing this fact would relieve many injured runners, at least. While running can be substitute with swimming or cycling, nothing beats its addiction, its gravitational impact etc.

  1. 80% of malaysians are sedentary, so obviously they are not designed to run. At least not yet. But its true not everyone can run competitively because maybe of a bad knee, a crooked ankle etc, but he shouldn't generalise. He should encourage these people to do something else, like swimming or cycling or even squash/tennis/badminton.

    I think maybe this doctor had been quoted out of context, because I think no one in his position should say something controversial like that without backing with facts.
