Weekends, I had always thought that it would be wasteful if we do not use our weekend wisely. translation = must train long hours becoz that was the only time that we have. However, somehow i changed my mind...
As IM is nearing, i heard of people starting to taper. At least 3 weeks to taper.. Haha.. so long? how bout those with last minute training? training pun tak cukup, da fikir nak taper... then i asked my friend's doctor.. a physio doctor.. he posted an article on tapering, & highlighted that it is for deep recovery... hidden fatigue & for mental recovery as well... So, i felt good about it... Actually few friends of mine already told me bout tapering, i was just too foolish to be degil on training until i get some scientific explanation...

Menu : 100k ride, 10k run became 98k ride & 2k run
Saturday was riding 100k with 10k run, but turned out to be 98k ride & 2k run.. it was speed work. Started early with my friend, Abu.. his cycling was so good that he left me behind at every hill.. kesian kat die to wait for me.. the only thing that i am able to do is to draft him at flats @ 38-40km/hr.. his hillwork averages at 20km/hr & above, i tak larat follow.. total average for me was 29.3km/hr, his about 32km/hr... then we ran... initial plan was 10k run, but we looked at each other, smiled & agreed that it would be 2k run... speed all the way, then khalaj.. finish... haha, that was speed work for me.. i wasnt sure if it was too slow for abu.. ZZZzzz after dat...

Venue : Lake Garden -> Bukit Jalil
Menu : 20k run
Initially ajak stef to run 20k at LG.. turned out that my eye was swollen red in the morning, texted stef that i couldnt make it & rolled back into bed... bed was more menggoda... Also told deq that i would be there, but i wasnt. deq is a good coach, she brought her athletes for FTAA cross country.. woke up again later in the morning, then went to bkt jalil as i felt guilty. did a 20k run as well, but it was under the sun at that hour... then went to dataran merdeka later evening to watch ltdl...
