Hard being a dark skinned chinese?

Just d other day, me N faisal decided to go for reflexology. So we visited a reflex shop somewhere at the corner of a shopping mall.. We were greeted with warm welcome, then pursuasion to take the most expensive package.. Well, too bad that they get me, & I opt for the cheapest package..

They hesitated at first, to speak Malay or Mandarin, & finally chose to speak very broken Malay. Sebab kesian sangat, I began my mandarin conversation. though teruk, but better than their broken BM. They are pure Chinese from China, Herbian village. They had been here 1 year already. Then, i regret that i opened my big mouth.

What is it like to friend with Malay?
Are they as good as Chinese?
How come you get to know them?
Do they give money when want to get married?
& bla bla bla..

it was non-stop, like a machine gun. while faisal was relaxing with his masseur, i had to answer all questions bombarded by my & his masseur.. we actually sat next to each other on chairs provided. the massage took 40mins, the interview session took 30minutes..

Maybe some other time, i shud stick to speaking malay only to avoid things like this. byk kali gak berlaku, dat when i go out shopping with my malay friends, chinese sales person got confused & began the conversation with broken malay. i kind of got used to it already. I want to learn tamil the next time around..
