MUKHSIN

Ke Hadapan Yasmin Ahmad,

Excerpt from Mukhsin

Bang, bang nak saya masak, saya belajar, belajar dari mak. Napa nak kahwin lagi??
Bang da janji dgn ibu bapa dia.

Mukhsin, a story so simple that it didnt caught my attention at first. Then selepas pemergian Yasmin Ahmad, I came upon the dvd & decided to watch it 2nd time. though simple, tapi it captured the essence of malaysia. Not only malay, sikit2 you selit chinese & indian element. Modern family twisted in a malay culture.

Just recently i attended talks on marriage.. kalau nak suami happy, belajar aa memasak. kalu tak, bini 2 lar alamat nyer.. Malas nak bertengkar ngan si penceramah, tapi come-on.. modern time like this, laki cari bini lain because tak reti masak.. laki cmtu baik takyah amik.. penceramah ckp suh masak sedap2, kul 5.30 suami balik da ade makanan.. kalau lar i, 5.30 terus ajak g jogging.. lagi best.. haha..

ya, back to u yasmin, you emerged differently. ramai talked bout you, yet you triumph among the rest. for me, those with a dark/embarrasing past, yet could stand still & shine among others.. this is the quality one should have. tak senang nak face the community with some background. community kita ni kuat gossip (hehe, terasa cam i).. I got a friend who successfully handled her life from some happenings in her life too, & she is doing very well now.

I think your tribute should be way greater than MJ over here in Malaysia, but its just my personal thought. I will never forget your Petronas advertisements, or Sepet or Gubra, or the 1Malaysia sentiment in those ad; U went humbly, & may god bless your soul.

A'kum.
