Its the ramadhan month again. My attempt to puase sucks.. ya, really, i still remembered. I jenis suka nibble stuff. kejap cari makanan, kejap nak kunyah.. no wonder tak pernah kurus...
My years kat UTP.... 1999 - 2004
all my housemates were muslims. Ya, they were so disciplined. During my five years in UTP, never once i really puase. I think my fren Meng, a stick-like chinese lad did puasa. oh, i envied him. first year I was trying to hide eating from housemate. 2nd, 3rd, 4th year was yangyuk. Then the 5th year was late sahur, & minum air through the day. & best of all, i remembered breaking the fast with my housemate. It was precious. I jenis suka bangun awal, to jog... so, senang nak join dorg sahur.. hehe, though tak puase betol, slalu jer join dorg buka puase.. hehe..Then, years after that was more to nak diet..
2005 - My first time seagame. Coach warned me against puasa. Nk jaga performance nya pasal. Right after puasa was race already. Well, I dunno y i m so degil, went against his instruction & tried puasa with my other team mates. reason being, kesian sgt kat dorg. tapi, mmg pun i minum byk, cuma tak makan jer. tak larat beb.. kdg minum air gula. huhu. <degil tu lar tak dapat menang, slalu tak dgr ckp coach...
2006- replicate of 2005
2007 - another seagame season. this time around, coach lagi stern. I obeyed him. tp tetap tak makan. I need to ensure performance tak drop. instead, i drank alot of sugary drink. actually i din know y i did dat, it obsolete the meaning of fasting.
2008 - i heard my fren, reita fasting & training at same time. was it possible? I guess the only way to find out was to try doing it. then started a training schedule as below. Itu pun boleh tahan about 3minggu jer. Powerman was superb after puasa month. (kepuasan diri sendri jer) . Kali ni baru i rasa, how org betul2 feel, able to train & fast at the same time.
Weekday
5am - sahur, sambung tido
6am - jog 1hr
8am - work @ sangap (batery kong)
6pm - jog/gym/ergo (surprisingly batry ok balik)
7pm-buka, smbung training
9pm - makan... (rasenye cam tak igt dunia da)
Weekend
5am - sahur, sambung tido
7am - jog 1hr
8am - gym
12pm - swim/ berendam kat pool
7pm- buka, tido
ya, its do-able. Though I did not purely puasa, tapi somehow i got the meaning of fasting. It was sweet, especially when i was losing weight & terasa badan ringan. somehow, i think only got the meaning of puasa physically, not spiritually.
