Powerbar & Pregnancy



I had wanted to post this previously, but not until recently after seeing my gynea. It has already been 6 months, yet i feel such a long way to go. Met my gynea, & hub started showing him all the powerbar products. Actually it was Mr Jordan's (powerbar) suggestions to get a double confirmation on powerbar products from the gynea although relatively they are all natural product.

I did slightly indicate to my gynea that I am still doing slow jogging. Then a big ??? stare came from her, then she said a firm NO for the jog. Then my 'jog' eventually turned into a walk-slowjog thing & finally it became just morning walk when I further explained to her. However, after a thorough checkup, she mentioned that my placenta is still high, water level (amniotic) is still alot. Hence, further self analysis is that I can still manage a short/slow jog. Belum lagi cerita ergo kat dia. Ergo is actually impact free workout, which is also a whole body workout. But it will be illusionized that erg actually requires you to fold & unfold your stomach; which people would think it is dangerous. Still, its impact free & i guess much safer stuff. Anyway, just listen to my body will be the best. =)

Back to powerbar stuff, she gave a nod to say that these drinks are good. They do contain calories, as well as most of the minerals needed. It is very convenient for me as for now, I have to nibble something every 3 hrs apart. The sour-ish/sweet taste does stop me from being nauseaus. Not much, just a slight tint on plain water does alot of different to me. At times, i nibble on powerbar itself abit at a time =) they really are convenient. Only thing my gynea mentioned that they have quite significant amount of potassium, which is not required if we do not sweat alot. In fact, I do sweat when I go for my mild workout, as thats the only thing i could tell her. Another NOD from her. The thing to watch out is calorie in = calorie out.

Yup, its cool & refreshing for me after all. Also, I go for more recovery drink nowadays. As relaxin hormone is more intensified now, (relaxin hormone to soften joints) i guess i need more rest & recovery more after even just a short jog =) going for a swim would be nicer, but the feeling of jog & erg is totally different =) But kdg2, kena virus MALAS gak, n I think I still have one good reason to stay Malas =)
one more to add, senang dapat cramp too during pregnant. So, having drinks like these greatly reduce the cramps in the leg =)
p/s: Takziah to Ngae, an ultramarathoner, iroman-er, etc.. Though not quite close, his determination somehow inspired me =(

  2. Now, I can go dig it out again...where's my stash of bars?? :)
    But I don't like the banana flavoured ones they gave me.... ;p

    keep it up girl, before you reliase, you'll be like me now...;p
