Rogaining, Teluk Intan

Just had my first race after delivery, 9 long months without race.. & the race was looonnnnggg... It was a 12hr orienteering based race in Teluk Intan. Slow jogged for 5hrs, & the rest was walk only. Total race was of 68km in distance, however my team had just done approximately 58km before kena sapu by the pick up van at 10th hr. Organizer did not wait for that long.. hehe.. Thanks to team mate - hubby & a rowing friend of ours, acap.

Right now, DOM creeps in, but legs are still good. only thing is the slight pain from groin pull & blisters. Guess i had to thank to my darling ergometer for the great maintenance job. We only had about 4 sessions of 20mins jog with lil Aydeen for this race. We couldnt agree more that Powerbar did help us alot. Constant consumption of Powerbar/gel has got us out of trouble, especially cramps. We sipped little bit of gel every 30mins.

Yup, this is a last minute race. We did not even have our bibs during the race. Had everything planned out just 2 days the race. Lucky that the organizer accepted us. & special thanks to my parents for agreeing to accompany us with lil Aydeen on this trip, for I could not bear the idea of leaving Aydeen in KL.     What a way to get back to speed. A 12-hour race, no less!
