Naked 10km run

I felt naked.. Felt naked running 10km the other day. Yup, it was a week ago, still felt naked. Satisfied yet naked.

That was my first 10km run without Aydeen. Hub was kind enough to take care of him. So, I ran to my fullest.

Have you seen uncles/aunties running in a race, with their hands & body position so out of way yet they overtake you? You cant help but noticing them, & felt so restless seeing them overtaking you.. what a move, yet fast. I was running like that, with no stroller to hold, i could only sway more than I could; minus the speed obviously. Hands out of position, body out of alignment, breathed out of breath & it was mind over body.
Never did I realise, I was avoiding all the potholes, uneven roads, even running towards people as long as I am on the decent tar. I forgot that I wasnt pushing Aydeen, when people conveniently will make space for me & the stroller.

Thanks to the spiked hair guy, we did sort of like a mini race. It was me overtaking him, then he trailed so hard that I had to run harder. Luckily his route differed from mine. I know, its just a 10k run, but it was THE run for me.

1hr 04 minutes for a 10k run. Considering Bukit Jalil full of hills. Considering me not running more than 5km. Considering lack of sleep. Considering a session 1hr ergo at 4am. Yeah, go ahead & find all the faults. Yet fact is I am still 4 minutes behind my previous time. & it was not the best time I am considering.

Soreness crept in after the run. Groin pain leads to knee pain, then plantar then quad & list continues. And I have to admit, my core is totaly zero apart from the buldging stomach. Felt like wanting to punch my stomach to a 6-packers. Can we actually do that?

There is still much work to be done on this. 1 day run, 6 days rest after that. So much so for the burning passion. XX keeping my finger cross for the next 'serious' training session.

  1. well, at least u achieved a 10k just off 1hr...i dare not think of mine!!

    hehe subconciously making way without stroller eh?

  2. I don't think we can do anything about the 'mummy tummy' bit. It's just extra skin I guess.
    Rasanya taim underweight dulu pun, it's still there..argh

  3. next time confirm boleh dapat sub 1hr. my abs pun susah nak turun jugak :( tapi malas nak buat core training, hehehe
